Drug Drop Box

Imagine This...

The phone rings at two in the morning. You answer to a police officer telling you to pick up your teenage son who has been picked up on drug charges. On the way to the police station, all you can think about is how you would like to catch the guy who provided drugs to your son. When you arrive, you find out your son was the one selling drugs and the drugs were from your medicine cabinet. The drugs were leftover from when you had knee surgery last fall.

Times are changing and our kids are under unprecedented pressure.  There is more to learn, more to want, and more to do. Our kids, like our culture, are looking for an easy escape. Most of the time, they don’t have to look further then our own medicine cabinets or refrigerators.  Kids are pressured by peers to bring medications from home if a known injury or illness has occurred.

Leaving unused prescription medications in your medicine cabinet is a temptation that does not have to exist. To properly dispose of prescription medications, all you need to do is stop by the Lodi Police Station and drop your medications in the Prescription Drug Drop Box in the lobby.

  • The Prescription Drug Drop Box is located in the lobby of the Lodi Police Station (142 S. Main Street, Lodi, WI 53555)

  • Office Hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

The Lodi Community Action Team (LCAT), along with the Lodi Police Department, operate a Prescription Drug Drop Box for those in the Lodi, WI area. This video explains the importance of disposing of medications properly.
